School Crossing Guard Resources

School Crossing Guards (Crossing Guards) are an important part of the community and serve a vital role in the lives of children who walk or bicycle to school. Training is an essential step to help ensure that Crossing Guards are performing properly.  The California School Crossing Guard Training Guidelines and accompanying supplemental training materials were created to provide local jurisdictions with the resources to train and vet new and existing Crossing Guards and ultimately to help improve the safety of California’s school-aged children.
