On May 15 and June 27, 2025, the California Transportation Commission (CTC) awarded funds to 37 projects for a total of $67.481 million in the Cycle 7 metropolitan planning organization (MPO) component of the Active Transportation Program (ATP). The projects include a broad range of active transportation infrastructure improvements, including over 63 miles of new bicycle and pedestrian facilities, intersection timing improvements, 375 crosswalks, shade trees, bike racks, wayfinding signage, lighting improvements, and Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps. Thirty-five of the projects will benefit disadvantaged communities. Nineteen of the projects are Safe Routes to School projects.
