New California Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Curriculum for Grades 4 and 5

The webinar provided an overview of the Curriculum for school district and school administrators, teachers, parents and community stakeholders interested in increasing the number of students who safely walk and bicycle to and from school and other neighborhood destinations. In addition to showcasing the Curriculum and its on-line training, the webinar shared strategies on how to best utilize the Curriculum in support of Walk to School Month activities in October 2015. The California Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Curriculum for Grades 4 and 5 and its on-line training provides nine lessons for 4th and 5th grade teachers to educate students on how to be safe pedestrians and bicyclists and understand the positive impact that walking and bicycling has on their health and environment. The free California Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Curriculum for Grades 4 and 5 and its on-line training are housed on the California Healthy Kids and After School Resource Center website.
