Art in Active Transportation

Art installations can enhance biking and walking experiences by fostering community engagement, preserving local culture, and creating a sense of place that promotes community well-being, tourism, and economic development. This webinar will feature insights from professionals collaborating with artists and artist organizations, highlighting the value of artistic enhancements in active transportation projects. Participants will learn about the process for implementing art installations on state-owned roads and strategies for recruiting local artists. Additionally, the webinar will showcase an ATP project that incorporated art into its project. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session with the presenters.
